At Luck Optical, we strive to meet all of your eye and vision care needs. Contact lens evaluations and prescription management are provided. After a comprehensive eye and vision evaluation, our optometrists will discuss the variety of contact lens options with you to select the type that best fits your vision needs and lifestyle. If you suffer from dry eye, allergies, or recurring eye infections, speak with our optometrists to determine whether contact lenses are right for you.
Prior to prescribing contact lenses, our doctors determine what level of vision correction you require. Refractive error (commonly known as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism) is evaluated by measuring how the eyes focus when a series of different lenses are placed in front of them. No appointments are needed and we have 5 doctors on staff everyday ready to serve you .
Contact Lens Options
After determining your level of refractive error, our doctors work with you to determine whether contact lenses or glasses are best for your lifestyle. Contact lenses are available in either soft or rigid gas permeable form. Contact lenses need to be replaced daily, bi-weekly, or monthly, depending on what may best fit your lifestyle.
Specialized Contact Lenses
Certain conditions, such as astigmatism, presbyopia and dry eyes are easily addressed with specific types of contact lenses. Multifocal contact lenses or Monovision (using one eye for distance vision and one eye for near vision) address presbyopia and toric contact lenses address the non-spherical corneal shape caused by astigmatism. Daily disposable contact lenses are excellent options for allergy sufferers or patients with dry eyes.
Advances in contact lens technology have created great options for cosmetic lenses. Cosmetic lenses are also available to change your eye color. Call us at (817) 738-3191 and speak to our knowledgeable staff if you are interested in enhancing your eye color with contact lenses.
